King's Warriors History

The King's Warriors Basketball Club was a homeschool basketball program founded by Dr. Greg Gist in 1996 to meet a need in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex to provide a competitive basketball program for homeschooled Jr. High and High School-aged boys. During its run The King's Warriors continuously placed high in both State of Texas and the National Homeschool Basketball Championships. More importantly The King's Warriors provided a Christ-centered program for those parents and homeschooled who wanted more than just basketball.

When it was conceived, The King's Warriors was one of only two homeschool athletic programs in the entire Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. By the end of the 2004-2005 season many new programs were in operation and several others had split. At this time the King's Warriors founders met and made the decision that the 2004-2005 season would be the last for The King's Warriors.

Special thanks to the coaches who served during the King's Warriors over the years, including Dr. Greg Gist (Founder), Nick Dungey, Mike Rockwell, Zachary Becker, and T.J. Evans.

We have archived the 1999-2000 season of The King's Warriors to capture The King's Warriors near the mid-point of it's existence.
